Key fob buttons

Hi guys,

My key fob doesn't work after I tried to swap old button cover for a new one off eBay. My question is if I
bought someone's old key and used the electronics and button bit of that key but my transponder chip and blade would it open the car remotely or need reprogramming or just syncing to the car using the ignition?

put key in ignition and press the open button take key out try it again should tell you in owners guide you get with the car tbh

Will that work if I use someone else electronics?

Coz the buttons are broke I think so it does nothing when I do that! But wondered if I bought an old key off eBay and used the chip and buttons from the key in my key would it open the car when the sync it
